I like my Nook for reading uncomplicated library books, but not for books I might like to own, and not for books with the kind of plots that cause me to want to flip back to be reminded of what happened 20 pages ago. So what books does that leave for the Nook? Hmmm… not too many. Thankfully, my husband really likes it, so between the two of us, I suppose we get enough use from it to make it worth the cost. :-)

There are quite a few self-pubbed books that I'd like to read, but don't have an e-reader. I'm still a traditionalist; I collect books and can't imagine a time when I won't be able to buy them anymore. Maybe asking for a Kindle for Christmas isn't such a bad idea, but I'll continue to buy traditional books whether I like the new technology or not.

I have a Kindle and I use it, but I still read a lot more books in print. It's about a 5 to 1 ratio right now--actually it's probably more like 10 to 1 in favor of print books. Nothing replaces the feel and smell of a book in your hands. Sorry Kindle.

I'm going to buy both, too. But I have to say, it was nice to pull the Kindle out when the line at the post office took a while.

Yeah, I'm coming around to them to, I'm a bit sad to admit. My hubby bought one and I find myself wanting to use it more and more. I will always buy 'real' books though, as long as I can at least!

Thanks--they're my colors, too. In fact, they were my colors at my Sweet 16, so some things never change!
